Description: This rendering shows his standing with a beautifully carved gopuram accompanied by his vahana, Paravani, the peacock. In his right hands, Murugan holds a sool kathi, or diamond-shaped sword and the vel, his spear. In the left upper hand, he gracefully holds a lotus bud. The artist has created this panel in a stye reminiscent of the beautiful sculptures on temple gopurams, with beautiful subdued colors, sculptural detailing and symbols like the yali, and lotus flowers and petals.
